Soccer, known as football outside of North America, is the "beautiful game" to its multitude fans. The FIFA World Cup, after 10 simply called the world cup,is an international association football competition contested by the senior men's national team of the member of the federation international de football association (FIFA), the sports global governing body. the championship has been awarded every four years since the inaugural tournament in 1930, except In 1942 and 1946 when it was not held because of second World war. The current champion is France, which won its second title at the 2018 tournament in Russia.

The world cup final match is the last of the competition, and the result it remains which country is declared world champions. if after 90 minutes of regular play this core is a draw,an additional 30 minute period of play called extra time is added. if such a game is still tired after extra time it is then decided by a penalty shootout. The team winning the penalty shoot out are then declared champions. The tournament had been decided by a one off match on every occasion except 1950,when the tournament winner was decided by a final round Robin group contested by four teams (Uruguay, Brazil, Sweden, Spain). Uruguay 2 - 1 victory over Brazil was the decisive match that put them I had on points and ensure that they finished top of the group as world champions. Therefore this match is regarded by FIFA as the facto final of the 1950 World Cup.
